This colloquium gathers scholars working on language ideologies and attitudes in Brazil and United States.
2009 Idealized, organized, submitted, and chaired a proposal of a colloquium entitled “Sociolinguistics of borderlands: Language, identity and attitudes on the borders” at the American Association of Applied Linguistics (AAAL) to be held in Denver, CO, on March 21-24, 2009. This colloquium gathers scholars working on border sociolinguistics in three different continents.
